Um Vichet hopeful to get more match time to quickly adapt to the team tactic
Phnom Penh Crown new signing Um Vichet has admitted that he has some issues related to the team tactic after he joined Phnom Penh Crown ahead of 2020 season.
The shot-stopper, who completed his transfer move from Ministry of National Defense to join the Red Singha in December, hopes to get more match time to adapt to the team’s style of play after making his first appearance for the club during a 2-0 victory over Kirivong Sok Sen Chey in a friendly match.Um Vichet told ppcfc.com: “I have some problems related to the tactic and understanding of my teammates as I didn’t feature in a lot of friendly
matches. If I get more game time, I think I can adjust myself to the situation in the team.
“It’s a new experience for me at the club as it is my first transfer move in my career. I feel it is new to me, and I hope to get new experience.”
Phnom Penh Crown face Kedah FA in a decisive match to discover the champions of the 2020 Smart RSN Stadium Cup, and Um Vichet, who was not included in the squad during the Red Singha’s 2-1 win against Angkor Tiger, is likely to start against the Malaysian side.
The goalkeeper on the clash with Kedah FA: “I feel very happy to play in the international friendly match to learn more about the team tactic. I will try my best if I receive a chance to start against them.
“I will do my best against Kedah FA. In the previous friendly matches, I played only around 30 minutes, so I can’t adapt to the team yet.”
