Former NagaWorld member Barry Leuloma talks about returning to the Cambodian leagues
Former NagaWorld member Barry Alpha Oumar Leuloma is back in the Metfone Cambodian League and joining Kirivong Sok Sen Chey. The left-footed defender has expressed his delight at being with the Takeo-based club, eager for top league competition and seeing the progress of Cambodian football.
"Of course, I always wanted to compete in the top tier, as competition for major club contracts in Thailand is difficult and with the demands of Kirivong, I showed my interest to the club and we reached a contract. I am really happy to be back in Cambodia because I have so many good memories and also learned so much about the Cambodian league. At the other end of the spectrum, I recognize that the level of competition and the quality of the Cambodian football club has grown so much that it has attracted me to come here again.The Guinean midfielder, who says he was surprised by the progress of Cambodian football in just three years on his career in Thailand, has made a big difference. It is said that both the quality of players at the level of competition as well as the preparation of the Commission and the clubs are closer to international football standards.
Barry expects to enjoy the game in the upcoming 2020 season.Barry Alpha Oumar Leuloma, a former BEC Tero Sasana youth club, moved to NagaWorld from 2014 to 2016, leaving for Thailand. Having worked there three seasons, he returned to Cambodia with a new contract from Kirivong Sok Sen Chey.
