‘What remains is to play for Cambodia’ – Dzarma Bata on his career in Cambodia
Phnom Penh៖ Dzarma Bata has joked Cambodia is the only team he has yet to play for after spending six seasons in Cambodia.
Since his arrival, the Nigerian born has joined seven different Metfone Cambodian League sides the like of Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng, Boeung Ket, Angkor Tiger, Asia Euro United, Soltilo Angkor, Ministry of National Defense, and Phnom Penh Crown.
“The league is in my head, and I believe we can make the Metfone Cambodian League better for the future.
The striker made his debut season in the Metfone Cambodian League as he joined Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng in 2014, when he won the Golden boot.
After parting ways with Phnom Penh Crown, he is in talk with several clubs as he is reviewing the offer that suits him the best.
“Yes, I am in talk with some clubs, but hopefully something good will come soon,” Dzarma Bata told camsports.org.
“Of course my motivation stands in Cambodian League and also playing anywhere in the world if I have the chance. My first season in Cambodia was a history as I got the Golden boot, which was a great start in Cambodia, so I still have the motivation and commitment to play here.“I should be proud of the record at all the clubs I played, a small club or a big club, I still work hard, and I’m among the top scorers in the list. I don’t look down on small team or big team, but I just keep doing the best I can for the clubs I play for.
“I have already got so much experience in the league. You can see so many new players coming to Cambodia, but couldn’t adapt to the league. I have that experience, and I have played under great coaches here.
“The league is in my head, and I believe we can make the Metfone Cambodian League better for the future.
“Some people are better than me, and I love them. They inspire me to do better. I am confident of my abilities that give me the kick to keep improving. I am not the best, and I am not the worst. I keep doing the best I can and improve because there is a better day ahead.”
